We have an exciting opportunity for a Patient Support Worker to join HCA at UCH. You will provide non-clinical support services to the patients and support the clinical staff in the delivery of essential support activities, which will help to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the ward, day unit and outpatient department.

What you'll do:

  • Prepare inpatient rooms ready for admission
  • Stock up toiletries in patient rooms
  • Replenishment of gloves/aprons and wipes in all ward areas
  • Clean clinical equipment as required and maintain cleaning log
  • Liaise with the housekeeping team regarding cleaning of patient rooms.
  • Assist in ensuring all areas are kept clean, tidy and free from obstacles
  • Replenish stock in the treatment rooms twice daily
  • Weekly cleaning of the fridge in the staff rooms and ensure checklist is kept up to date
  • Assist the nursing team with making patient beds for occupied rooms

What you'll bring:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within a healthcare setting is essential
  • Flexible attitude
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
