Part Time HR Manager

My client is seeking an HR Manager to manage and oversee the full scope of HR duties and responsibilities across all areas and departments of the business. This role is integral in supporting the Managing Director and Management with all employee and training matters, ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues, concerns, and queries.

Day to day of the role:

  • Accurately process weekly and monthly payroll.
  • Act as a point of contact for all employees, providing day-to-day support to management on employee matters.
  • Record and manage staff sickness and annual leave requests.
  • Handle recruitment for all areas of the business, including writing contracts, completing references, right to work checks, and new starter inductions.
  • Manage and update job descriptions.
  • Support and oversee annual employee development reviews.
  • Communicate company news and staffing updates to employees effectively.
  • Oversee all Health and Safety, including risk assessments and safe systems of work.
  • Liaise with external contractors and companies.
  • Attend staff and department meetings, training sessions, and maintain professional behaviour at all times.
  • Adhere to and promote the company's policies, health, safety, and wellness requirements.
  • Undertake any other duties as reasonably delegated by the Managing Director or Head of Department.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a similar HR role.
  • Strong understanding of HR functions and best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to act with discretion, confidentiality, and integrity.
  • Organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Competency in payroll processing and HR systems.
  • Knowledge of employment legislation and regulations.
  • Ability to travel to other locations as required for the role.
