The Role
The school is looking for an enthusiastic Teacher of Spanish or German to teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of Key Stage 5 for suitably qualified candidates. The successful candidate will inspire and engage students, helping them to achieve their full potential in language learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons in Spanish or German.
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress.
- Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Contribute to the development of the Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) curriculum.
- Participate in departmental and whole-school activities and events.
- Provide pastoral care and support to students.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- A relevant degree in Spanish, German, or a related field.
- Experience teaching Spanish or German at secondary level.
- Experience in a UK school setting.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for languages.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
Desirable
- Experience teaching A-Level Spanish or German.
- Familiarity with current educational trends and technology.
- Previous experience in a similar role.
