Full Stack Developer

  • Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 + Company Healthcare & Pension
  • Type: Permanent
  • Pattern: Fully on-site, there is some flexibility for sporadic home working
  • Hours: 40 p/w, flexible between 0800 - 1800
  • Clearance: Must be eligible for SC & DV Clearance, these will be sponsored. (Sole British National)

As a part of their development team, you will work on developing, designing and deploying applications for their customers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain both front-end and back-end components of their sophisticated tracking and surveillance web applications.
  • Create intuitive and secure user interfaces that meet the specific needs of theircustomers.
  • Implement new features with a focus on real-time data processing.
  • Build reusable code and libraries for future use, ensuring robustness and security.
  • Optimise applications for maximum speed, efficiency, and scalability under high-load conditions.
  • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders to accurately gather requirements and tailor solutions to specialised operational needs.
  • Design and implement secure, robust APIs to handle sensitive data securely.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in compliance with strict industry standards for security and data protection.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly, ensuring high availability and reliability of our applications.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and advancements in the field of surveillance and data security, integrating innovative solutions where applicable.

Job Skills

  • Good experience with Cloud services, especially AWS.
  • Good experience of developing with secure by design principles.
  • Strong experience in unit testing.
  • Good experience in code management using tools such as GIT.
  • A keen eye for good user interface design and user experience.
  • Good experience with Python packages used for data science (familiarity with Pandas, Numpy, Scikit, Tensorflow).
  • Good knowledge of containerisation technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in developing secure web applications, preferably in a field related to surveillance, security, or real-time data services.
  • Strong knowledge of Django, JavaScript, and other relevant technologies.
  • Commitment to producing high-quality code and an understanding of security compliance and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Formally recognised qualifications may put a candidate at an advantage.
