Salary: £67,000 - £87,000 per annum
Type: Permanent, Hybrid Working (2 days a week in office)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Data Warehouse Developer to join a growing team responsible for supporting critical financial operations. You will be instrumental in managing and optimising on-premise data solutions, ensuring efficient data flow, and providing analytical insights that support business needs.
The ideal candidate will be well-versed in SQL Server, SSIS, ETL, and have a solid understanding of financial services/insurance data processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring smooth data integration and supporting peak quarterly activities related to financial liability coverage.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain on-premise SQL Server data warehouse solutions.
- Develop and manage ETL pipelines using SSIS.
- Collaborate with teams to optimize financial data models and reporting.
- Support quarterly peak periods with critical data processes.
- Work with the team to develop proof-of-concept solutions and explore modern cloud-based technologies.
- Provide data solutions that support the analytics and business intelligence needs of the organisation.
Essential Skills
- Strong experience with SQL Server data warehousing, including ETL development using SSIS.
- Proficiency in VBA and Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Financial Services/Insurance industry experience.
- Familiarity with Power BI for reporting and analytics.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects in a small team environment.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with cloud platforms, such as Azure Databricks, and data integration tools.
- Exposure to Agile working methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to mentor team members.
