Test Analyst

ASSIGNMENT OVERVIEW

Alchemy London Market is seeking experienced Test Analysts to enhance the quality assurance capabilities of our insurance clients' ongoing projects. This role is critical for ensuring the successful delivery of comprehensive end-to-end (E2E) testing across the platform, with a focus on Business Operational Acceptance Testing (BOAT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) ensuring the quality and reliability of the software products.

ASSIGNMENT OBJECTIVES

  • Prepare test scenarios and scripts, manage these through to sign-off, and execute tests to ensure scenarios and scripts meet project requirements.
  • Maintain audit standards for all test executions. Raise and manage defects according to team standards, supporting a cohesive approach to defect management, including Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
  • Identify and escalate testing issues to the Test Manager for timely resolution. Identify and address any unfulfilled parts of the E2E Strategy or Approach, reporting to the Test Manager until resolved. Identify risks, support their mitigation, and update risks throughout the program.
  • Identify potential quality improvements and support the Test Manager in implementing these changes. Contribute to the definition, measurement, and optimization of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to assess and enhance deliverable quality.
  • Participate in retrospectives, capturing lessons learned and applying them throughout the program. Maintain and enhance frameworks for all future test artifacts, ensuring historical artifacts are accessible.
  • Contribute to regular E2E quality reports to the Test Manager, including progress updates, issues, and any delays to the test plan. Translate business scenarios and requirements into detailed test scripts to validate functionality, performance, and reliability of software products.
  • Work collaboratively with development, product management, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Provide support across all teams involved in testing activities, including executing test scripts, logging defects, and communicating test results.
  • Demonstrate an ability to work efficiently without compromising the quality of testing deliverables while adhering to project timelines.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILL-SET

  • Proven experience in manual testing methodologies, including test planning, test case design, execution, and defect management.
  • Proficiency in using Zephyr or similar test management tools for organizing test cases, executing tests, and tracking test results.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
  • Experience working within the Insurance/London Market.
