Finance Assistant - Barnet - Restaurant Group - up to £40k + Bonus / Full Time OR Part Time (pro rata 30 hours pw) / Flexible Hours - Office Based.
Our client operates a very successful multi site restaurant group with sites right across the UK.
We are seeking a versatile and experienced Finance Assistant to support our clients in-house Financial Controller and coordinate a small number of internal IT queries with the external IT service provider.
Main Duties and Responsibilities-
Finance Support
- Assist the Financial Controller with daily accounting tasks, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and expense tracking.
- Assist in preparing financial reports, budgets, and forecasts as required.
- Assist with payroll processing and liaise with HR on payroll-related matters as needed.
- Assist in liaising with external parties for the outsourced financial functions and support month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Deal with basic financial queries and requests from the affiliated restaurants.
Requirements
Essential-
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or a related financial role, with relevant accounting qualifications (e.g. AAT, ACCA part-qualified, or similar).
- Excellent organisational and multitasking skills.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with both financial and IT
professionals.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work.
- Familiarity with accounting software (Sage 50 or 200 preferable) and IT service management tools.
- Knowledge of data protection regulations and best usage practices in IT security.
- Experience working in the multi-site hospitality, restaurant or retail industry.
Desirable-
- Familiarity with cloud-based financial and IT solutions.
