Job Title: Project Manager

Duration: 12 months, extensions likely

Location: Windsor/Remote (attendance required for business meeting approximately once per month)

Salary: circa £74000 per annum

Our client, a leading player in the utilities industry, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to join their team. As a Project Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects and programmes within the GBS, HR, and Procurement Portfolios. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders, coordinate activities, and drive projects from inception to closure, ensuring that all requirements are met.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and implement projects from conception to completion.
  • Translate business requirements into actionable plans.
  • Develop and update business cases to reflect changes.
  • Monitor, control, and manage project delivery to meet agreed-upon objectives.
  • Track and report on project progress and attributes.
  • Define and implement effective business processes as needed.
  • Manage projects according to the relevant delivery framework and governance.
  • Engage with stakeholders at all levels to ensure project awareness and progress.
  • Manage project teams and external suppliers when required.

Key Requirements:

  • Proficiency in various project methodologies such as PRINCE2, APM, Agile, or Waterfall.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Experience in stakeholder management at all levels.
  • Ability to develop effective working relationships across the organisation.
  • Commercial and customer awareness with a focus on decision-making.
  • Ability to drive performance through coaching and motivation.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Project Management qualifications such as Prince2, APM, or Agile.
  • Degree level education or equivalent experience.

Key Competencies:

  • Experience working in a complex matrix organisation.
  • Adaptability and comfort with ambiguity and varied stakeholder engagement.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to bring teams together.
  • Effective planning and strategic thinking skills.
  • Ability to challenge and intervene when required.
  • Strong IT literacy, especially with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
