Our client, a professional audio equipment manufacturer within the broadcast industry are seeking a full-time Embedded Software Engineer for their R&D department. You will be responsible for the full cycle product development and customer support for bug fixing and fault finding. Proven industry experience and a relevant degree qualification are essential.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Relevant degree-level qualification
- 5+ years industrial software development experience (C, C++, assembly)
- Embedded programming and debugging for ARM Cortex microcontrollers and processors
- Knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP)
- Embedded Linux application development
- Bare metal software development
- Web UI development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
- Ability to work autonomously
- Excellent problem-solving skills
Desirable Skills:
- Professional audio product development
- Audio DSP fundamentals
- Knowledge of Linux kernel
- RTOS application development
- Digital electronics
- FPGA development (Verilog)
- Knowledge of IEEE1588 (PTP) and audio over IP protocols
