Workshop Supervisor (HGV / Refuse Vehicles)
£50,000 - £58,000 + Bonus (OTE 60k) + 10% Pension + 26 Days Holiday + Benefits

Are you an HGV Technician with supervisory experience looking to step into an exciting role in a new site, where you will be responsible for overseeing maintenance on a range of brand new fleet vehicles, for a stable and secure company offering a long-term career with an excellent benefits package?
Are you looking for a days-based, Monday to Friday position within a close-knit and friendly team, in a static, workshop based role?
In this role you will be working hands-on (75%) to service and maintain primarily municipal vehicles (refuse/sweepers), whilst controlling hands-off requirements such as ordering parts, ensuring legal compliance, and overseeing a Technician.
Founded in the early 90's, this contract hire and fleet management company work closely with local authorities across the country and pride themselves on their extremely stable growth and commitment to sustainability. This role will be working out of a brand-new workshop which they have gained through their continuous expansion.
This role would suit an HGV Technician with experience as a Supervisor, Chargehand or similar looking for a role based in a new site where they will be overseeing functions of a small team, working on brand new vehicles.
The Role:
- Hands-on maintenance, repairs, and servicing of municipal vehicles
- Overseeing 1/2 Technicians, in charge of maintaining stock levels and compliance
- Working on refuse vehicles and road sweepers, with specific vehicle training given
- Workshop based, with very occasional on site call outs
- Monday - Friday, days-based, 45 hours a week
The Person:
- HGV Technician or similar
- NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance
- Supervisory / Chargehand or similar experience
