Are you an experienced Learning Support Assistant seeking a full-time, long-term position in a primary school local to you?
Tradewind are working alongside a vibrant and dynamic primary school based in Hammersmith & Fulham, who are looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to support an EYFS pupil with Autism, in one of their mainstream classes.
This role commences immediately and will last until at least July 2023; hours for this position are Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm.
The school have excellent facilities for SEND pupils, including an ASD unit with a skilled set of staff and a state-of-the-art pavilion which was praised in the school's latest Ofsted inspection. Both pupils and staff model kindness and compassion across the school, making it such a great place to work and learn!
About the role:
- Support a child in a reception class on a 1:1 basis
- The pupil has mild autism and requires some extra support in class
- Mainstream class of 25 children
- You may be required to run intervention sessions
- Provide general support to the rest of the classroom when required
- Follow pupil's EHCP
- Implement EYFS curriculum
Requirements:
- Experience as a Nursery Nurse / Early Years Teaching Assistant is ideal
- Good understanding of EYFS framework
- SEN experience
- This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
- Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained
- You must have the legal right to work in the UK
