Description:

Working in the production department of this manufacturing organisation; undertaking all forms of electronic assembly and related tasks

Responsibilities:

  • Experience of Surface Mount Technology (SMT) rework
  • Daily operation of SMT
  • Ability to solder, wire and form components.
  • Ability to follow written work instructions.
  • A keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of concentration.
  • Ability to distinguish colours.
  • Must possess good manual dexterity and have a good level of literacy and numeracy.
  • Must be able to cope with working in different areas of production e.g.PCB assembly, general assembly, surface mount, coating, flow solder.
  • Ensure shop floor is kept clean and tidy at all times.
  • Any other duties that might reasonably be expected of a production operative.

Education / Experience:

  • SMT rework experience is required as well as general experience of electronic manufacturing.
  • IPC Certification would be desirable.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Hours of Work: 38 per week, 7.30 am - 5.30 pm, with half hour lunch break, Monday through Thursday
  • Pension: Group Stakeholder Pension Scheme - Company's contribution 5% of basic salary, employee contribution a minimum of 4% of basic salary Group Life Assurance Scheme
  • Holiday Entitlement: 194 hours of holiday
  • Discretionary staff bonus scheme
