**Job Summary
My client is looking for a motivated and reliable Roofing Labourer to join our team. In this role, you will assist the experienced roofers with various tasks related to roof installation, repair, and maintenance. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, eager to learn, and ready to contribute to a dynamic team environment.
**Key Responsibilities
- Assist Roofers: Support the roofing team with tasks such as carrying materials, setting up equipment, and providing general assistance during roofing projects.
- Material Handling: Load and unload roofing materials, tools, and equipment; ensure materials are stored safely and efficiently.
- Site Preparation: Prepare job sites by clearing debris, setting up scaffolding, and ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
- Tool Maintenance: Assist with the maintenance and organisation of roofing tools and equipment.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others on the team.
- Basic Labour Tasks: Perform basic manual labour tasks as directed, including digging, lifting, and carrying materials.
**Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in construction or a related field is preferred but not required. On-the-job training will be provided.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials, working at heights, and enduring various weather conditions.
- Safety Awareness: Understanding of basic safety procedures and practices in a construction environment.
- Team Player: Ability to work effectively as part of a team, with good communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Dependability: Reliable, punctual, and committed to completing tasks efficiently and safely.
**Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Roofing Tools: Familiarity with basic roofing tools and equipment
- Location: Croydon and surrounding areas
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
