Hourly Lifestyle / Care Assistant to a Young Law Uni Student
We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a young female, who will soon be studying Law at King's College London.She is looking for a team of like-minded individuals to join her care team to provide her personal care and independent living support. This is a great opportunity to make a positive impact in a young adult's life.
Start: September 2024
Hours:Between 3 and 4 mix of days and nights on a 4 week rolling rota
Location: Kings College London - WC2R 2LS
Rate of Pay and Benefits:
Pay: £20 per hour
Holidays: 5.6 weeks holiday pro rata
Bespoke training in the client's particular requirements will be provided
Care experience is not required as full training in our client's particular requirements will be provided.
About our Client
Our client will be starting her first year at Kings College London from September, where she will be studying Law. She has Muscular Dystrophy and uses an electric wheelchair, as well as a specialist walker.She sometimes requires assistance with her BIPAP machine during the day.Your responsibilities will encompass every aspect of daily life to ensure their comfort and quality of life.

"I will be living away from home and I am looking for a positive supportive Personal Assistant to help me with personal care, preparing my meals, attending university and socialising.
You will need to accompany me to lectures, seminars, library, study spaces and help me with lunch and toileting when out and about.
As with so much of my care the more often you do something, the better you will become. I am a unique individual and you will not have helped anyone in the same way before, so experience is not required or relevant. I know exactly when and how things need to be done and I will direct you. You will receive training in all relevant areas so please do not worry about this and if you are unsure about anything, please ask! It is really important that you are a kind, respectful and proactive person who is willing to put in the work required to support me to live my life to the fullest."
