Manager - Infotainment Testing

Job Purpose:

To own and be responsible for manual, automation testing, integration of all infotainment components and overall maintenance of the rigs and test vehicles.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage the internal and external testing and integration team for multiple programs/projects.
  • Decide on make vs buy decisions to complete the testing activities required for all projects.
  • Manage the DVP activities for all product launches.
  • Collaborate with other test team, feature owners, component owners and cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize test planning, execution for various internal and external milestones.
  • Build, develop, and mentor a team of high-performance automation engineers utilizing best practices and tools.
  • Contribute (hands on experience) and manage automation framework and automated test execution of infotainment vehicle level features.
  • Perform all necessary vehicle testing (hardware and functional) to guarantee product acceptance for mass production
  • Support and plan test strategy, test drives across markets.
  • Ensure all necessary reports, presentations, or technical documents are documented to explain and/or make a record of the development activities
  • Research and improve our internal test capability of the infotainment team overtime.

Qualification & Experience:

  • CAN tools – CANoE
  • Understanding of LIN/CAN/Automotive Ethernet
  • Understanding of electronics/software and hardware design & EDS
  • Automation toolsets, framework and programming& – Eg: NI Teststand, Python etc.
  • Data analysis & report writing
  • Significant experience in delivering Infotainment modules and managing a testing team.
  • Experience of vehicle level system integration in terms of hardware and Software). Experience of software development processes and managing software delivery.
  • Experience of validating infotainment systems, Navigation, Bluetooth and Media devices, Tuner and Infotainment HMI. Delivery experience on Infotainment OS system (windows, Linux, QNX, etc.).
  • Extensive knowledge of automotive development systems and test framework.
  • Supplier management experience desirable
  • Complete knowledge of Product Development cycle from concept to launch completion
  • Knowledge of automotive quality tools and processes.
  • Electrical engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent degree

  • Microsoft project experience is desirable
  • Strategic thinking
  • Must be able to project manage and work collaboratively with a cross-functional team.
  • Knowledge of Can and CAN based tools
