Group FP&A Manager

The Group FP&A Manager will have overall responsibility for the coordination of the budget and forecasting processes as well as the associated short, medium and long-term modelling of consolidated group level financial statements to support robust decision making by the Executive Board.

Description

  • Introduce a rigorous financial forecasting and planning process for the consolidation and reporting for a group of [six] trading companies and associated investment structure that have hitherto been planned and reported on a standalone basis.
  • Co-ordinate the annual budget process including the production of relevant performance targets, consolidation and analysis, working closely with the wider finance team to ensure deliverables are achieved on time.
  • Assist the Asset Financial Controllers with the maintenance of the underlying financial planning and forecasting tools to ensure accuracy and integrity, ensuring that these are agile and can accommodate scenario-based modelling.
  • Run scenarios through relevant modelling tools to assess the impact of potential decisions on cash flow as well as the financial ratios of the group.
  • Support the Finance function with reporting needs including financial and non-financial information, produce KPI's and dashboards as needed that will support improved performance and decision
  • Assess the overall reporting and analytical needs of the role and ensure that both tactical and strategic reporting solutions are being considered to drive improved This will likely include the identification and introduction of appropriate consolidation software for planning and reporting purposes.
  • Maintain the risk and opportunities register for the group, working closely with management.

  • Produce investor's reports and input into Board reporting as required.

Profile

  • Qualified accountant
  • Strong Analytical skills. Able to think tactically and
  • Industry experience advantageous
  • High level of experience in financial forecast preparation and investment appraisal (project evaluation) would be advantageous
  • Ideally exposure to a broad range of Corporate Finance, treasury and tax matters.
