Job Description

Working as part of the leadership team within the business support department, the Finance and Governance Lead will provide strategic and operational Finance and Corporate Governance input to support the RMA's Corporate and Business Plans. The Finance and Governance Lead will take a proactive approach in leading change through implementation of best practices in Finance and Corporate Governance control systems and will:

  • Contribute to the development of business and financial planning activities.
  • Lead on the development and implementation of finance; corporate governance; records and data management activities.
  • Lead on preparation of financial transactions for approval.
  • Lead on preparation of monthly financial reports, forecasts, annual budgets and financial plans.
  • Lead on preparation of year-end accounts and support the production of the annual report.
  • Facilitate internal and external audit processes.
  • Support Board and Committee governance.
  • Maintain and update corporate governance control processes.
  • Lead on the security and management of information and data.
  • Lead on corporate compliance with records and data management legislation.
  • Work with colleagues and foster a culture of financial excellence.

The Successful Applicant

A strong communicator who can effectively network with and influence a range of stakeholders including external partners, senior managers, and board members. The successful applicant for Finance and Governance Lead will have a strong understanding of finance, corporate governance and compliance.

  • A degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Professional qualifications (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Proficiency in financial reporting and risk management.
  • Knowledge of financial statutory processes.
  • Knowledge of corporate governance
  • Knowledge of Records Management processes.
  • Knowledge of Corporate Risk Management.

  • An attractive annual salary range of £50,750 to £55,121 DOE.
