Job Opportunity: Approved Electrician - Oxfordshire

We are currently seeking a qualified and proactive Approved Electrician to join our Electrical Team in Oxfordshire. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining a portfolio of buildings, ensuring all electrical systems and equipment are in top condition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across various buildings, including inspection and testing, emergency light testing, PAT testing, and RCD testing.
  • Perform installation of new equipment or replacement/repair of lamps, sockets, and other electrical components.
  • Work both independently and as part of a team, assisting other trades as needed.
  • Maintain good communication with clients and suppliers, ensuring all work is conducted professionally and efficiently.
  • Follow current Health and Safety legislation, applying good practices on the job.
  • Conduct minor building repairs and general maintenance as required.
  • Participate in contractor escort duties when necessary.
  • Adhere to on-call rota and demonstrate flexibility in a demanding work environment.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 18th Edition in Electrical Installation.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrotechnical Services (Electrical Installation).
  • City & Guilds 2391 (or equivalent) in Testing and Inspection.
  • City & Guilds 2330 or equivalent NVQ.
  • City & Guilds 2377.
  • Previous maintenance experience in a commercial environment.
  • Full clean driving licence.
  • Familiar with Health & Safety regulations and safe working practices.
  • Strong customer service skills and a focus on delivering quality results.
  • Basic computer knowledge (desirable).
  • IPAF and PASMA certification (preferred).

Additional Requirements:

  • Competence with access equipment and handling of minor building repairs.
  • Ability to complete NICEIC certificates and maintain compliance with current wiring regulations.
  • Electrical PPE provided for work as needed.
  • Baseline security clearance would be an advantage.
