They operate from a new 39,000 square foot facility in Oxfordshire, equipped with engineering labs, custom test and validation facilities, and the manufacturing capacity to produce up to 20,000 units per annum.

The Opportunity

I am recruiting for a Quality Engineer to join my client's exciting and dynamic team. In this role, you will support the development and implementation of business processes and systems in compliance with AS9100 and regulatory requirements. This is a fantastic opportunity to influence the future of aerospace technology and contribute to the decarbonisation of the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and implementation of business processes and systems in compliance with AS9100 and regulatory requirements.
  • Act as the Quality focal on development projects.
  • Drive APQP activities.
  • Ensure FAIR and PPAP completion.
  • Act as a business management system auditor.
  • Participate in customer/supplier visits and audits as required.
  • Work with process owners to drive closure of non-conformances.
  • Lead internal and external investigations to identify root cause and corrective actions.
  • Involvement in change management and design for assembly/manufacture.
  • Support in the development and deployment of quality objectives.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Previous proven experience within a Quality Engineering role, within the aerospace sector.
  • Familiarity with CAA regulations Part21G and Part21J.
  • Knowledge of AS9100 and Process Auditing.
  • Experience with internal audits.
  • Experience in the use of APQP tools and techniques.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis, process capability, and problem resolution tools (8D, 5 Why, 6 Sigma, etc.) and techniques.
