Our client is looking for a Technical Specialist to support the Organic Laboratory Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and validate new methods in accordance with quality procedures
- Completion of validation statement/PDS to collate, input and check all data
- Perform non routine testing supporting clients with their requirements.
- Provide technical training for staff involved with method development and implementation, both during the validation and when the method passes into routine production.
- Organise, evaluate, install and validate new instruments
- Review and write analytical methods and aid continuous improvement
- Organise and perform non-routine analytical work, solve technical problems, and manage method validation with the appropriate section heads/managers.
- Provide technical support to internal staff, external clients, and staff at other sites
- Be conversant with the company Quality procedures.
- Investigate atypical results and quality system failures raised by clients or internal/external audits
Requirements:
- Hold a BSc or equivalent in Chemistry or a related discipline.
- Working knowledge and experience of complex laboratory equipment and processes, LCQQQ. GCQQQ, GCMS, GCGC analysis and extraction
- Proven experience of working in a laboratory is essential - preferably within the Environmental industry.
- Experience of method development and instrument implementation is also essential
