Leading defence technology business require a Commercial Contracts Manager. Applicants need experience of contract management or contract negotiation within a B2B or commercial environment.
The Commercial Contracts Manager will join a large and supportive team of Contract Managers and Contract Officers. An exciting full-lifecycle commercial role, the Commercial Contracts Manager will support front-end (bids, customer ITT, proposal) in life (contract management, change, negotiation) and post-signature (claims, close out) contract management activities. Given the diversity and variation in the role, the Commercial Contract Manager will work closely with stakeholders in; bids, engineering, finance and programmes. Typical bids are in the £1-£10m range.
Specific duties of the Commercial Contracts Manager include:
- Draft commercial responses to customer ITTs, support bids and proposals activities
- Contribute to the development of commercial strategies - quotations, pricing, proposals etc
- Pre-bid negotiation of customer T&Cs (NDAs, Teaming, IP agreements etc)
- Day-to-day management of in life contracts, manage associated change, amendments etc.
- Advise stakeholders of commercial and contractual risk and identify liabilities
- Ensure compliance with T&Cs in how these are flowed-down to the supply chain
Commercial Contract Manager applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Experienced in managing and negotiating contracts in a commercial environment
- Proactive, positive, self-starter
- Exposure to the full commercial contract lifecycle - bids/proposals, award and closure - desirable
- Commercial experience in a sales, procurement or B2B environment could be useful
