Role Overview:
As a KS1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the learning and development of our Key Stage 1 pupils with SEN. Working closely with class teachers and SENCO, you will implement tailored strategies to meet individual needs, fostering a supportive and stimulating classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to SEN pupils in KS1.
- Assist in the planning and delivery of differentiated lessons.
- Monitor progress and contribute to Educational Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
- Promote independence and positive behaviour management.
- Collaborate with colleagues and parents to ensure effective communication and holistic support.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with SEN, preferably in a primary school setting.
- Understanding of SEN strategies and interventions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent).
