Charity People is excited to partner with Birmingham Dogs Home to find a passionate and creative Community Partnerships Officer to join their dedicated team.

Location: Hybrid (Catherine-de-Barnes office base with extensive travel across the West Midlands)

Salary: £25,000 - £27,000, (depending on experience)

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, including some weekends and public holidays

Contract: Permanent / 4 day working week would be considered

Benefits: 22 days annual leave + bank holidays, BHSF health cover, and company pension.

About the Role:

This role is central to their strategic plan to diversify and enhance their fundraising and supporter engagement activities. As a Community Partnerships Officer, you will help them continue their mission by connecting with local communities and fostering relationships that drive support and funding.

_Role Highlights Include: _

  • Engage with the Community: Build and nurture connections with community groups, local businesses, councils, and schools to promote Birmingham Dogs Home's vital work.
  • Develop Fundraising Activities: Create and implement innovative fundraising initiatives to boost financial support and community involvement.

* Steward Supporters: Offer exceptional support to fundraising groups and ensure compliance with legal requirements and policies.

  • Manage Finances: Oversee financial targets, budgets, and income related to fundraising activities.
  • Collaborate and Support Events: Work with the Head of Fundraising & Communications to plan and execute flagship community events.

About You:

You will be excited to join this small, passionate team, eager to lead and expand their community partnership programme. This role will offer you a variety of challenges and the opportunity to connect with supporters in new and creative ways. You have the following:

  • Organisational Skills: You can effectively manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Flexibility: You are willing to work out of hours, including some weekends and public holiday.

Previous experience in fundraising, community engagement, or a related field is desirable
