Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent (12-week temp to perm opportunity)

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced SENCo to join our friendly and supportive primary school in Kidderminster. This unique role involves a combination of teaching responsibilities and SENCo duties, offering you a chance to make a real impact on students with SEMH needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Morning: Teaching responsibilities within the SEND Hub
  • Afternoon: SENCo duties, focusing on paperwork and individual education plans
  • Work within the school's SEND Hub, supporting up to 8 children with SEMH needs at a time
  • Collaborate closely with 2 Teaching Assistants to ensure each child receives the best care and support
  • Provide leadership and guidance on all SEND-related matters, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and regulations

The SEND Hub supports children with SEMH, fostering a safe and nurturing environment. This role is ongoing, with the potential for the right candidate to go permanent following the initial 12-week placement. Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • NASENCo qualification
  • Previous experience as a SENCo or within SEND is essential
  • A passion for working with children with SEMH
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage both teaching and SENCo responsibilities
  • Ability to work closely with a team and engage effectively with children, parents, and external agencies
