Internal Exclusion Manager

We have an opportunity to appoint a confident, caring and enthusiastic person to be an Internal Exclusion Manager in a secondary school in Wigan. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the Internal Exclusion room, ensuring that students are effectively supervised, that high standards of behaviour are maintained and work closely with our experienced and dedicated Pastoral Team.

The High School is a successful, popular and oversubscribed school with an excellent reputation in the local community and beyond. They were rated "Good" by Ofsted in October 2022. They are housed in brand-new, purpose-built accommodation which opened in October 2023.

CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS

  • Location - Wigan
  • Position -Exclusion Manager
  • Start date - June 2024
  • Duration / Likely Duration - Long term, with the potential for extension depending on school
  • End date (if applicable) - N/A
  • Contract type - Temporary
  • Full time/part time - Part time and full time depending on schools needs
  • Hours - 8:30 am - 4pm (full day), half day (am or pm), individual lesson cover

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience working in a UK school
  • Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential)

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years
