About the role:

The Business Applications team, part of the ICT function, supports software applications and business improvement. We ensure our housing management and other software runs smoothly and help colleagues maximize its use. We lead business process improvements, meet with other teams to review workflows, and recommend efficiency enhancements. We handle technical tasks like upgrading and reconfiguring software, and develop digital forms, chatbots, SQL, and other solutions. Additionally, we provide business information and analysis through PowerBI, SSRS, and Excel reports.

Depending on your skillset, you could either work primarily with the analyst/developer side of the team, which will be working with Aareon Versaa, SQL, SharePoint and Microsoft Power Platform. Alternatively, you could focus more on project support, improving our business processes, liaising with our software champions to test new functionality, and helping our internal and external customers to use our software.

In line with Rooftop practice, our team has a hybrid approach to working, and you should expect to work from our office in Evesham a minimum of 2 days per week, with additional on-site presence upon request.

About you:

Our team have a range of skills, and we need you to have either demonstrable technical skills or be great at admin and customer support. You must have an interest in IT and in learning to use our software, as everyone in the team needs to be able to provide application support, either as a subject matter or data expert. Experience using Aareon QL or have worked in social housing previously is desirable but not essential.

Although we'll provide support and training, we expect you to work independently and proactively seek solutions. As part of our team, you'll attend and contribute to work-related meetings with colleagues at all levels of Rooftop, so confident communication—whether in person, via email, or over the phone - is essential.

Ideally, we would like someone who can work full-time, but might consider reduced hours for an applicant with the right skillset. If you lack experience but are passionate about IT and have a can-do attitude, we're happy to consider a trainee.
