Employee Relations Advisor

- Salary: Minimum of £17.20 per hour
My client are looking for an Employee Relations Advisor to provide comprehensive HR services within a nominated directorate and/or service across the trust. The successful candidate will build productive relationships, offer specialist and generalist support on a range of ER issues, and develop HR policies and processes. This role requires a proactive approach to managing a demanding workload, including ET casework, and delivering outcomes to agreed timescales.
Day to Day of the Role:
- Provide operational delivery of ER services and support managers in investigations and formal hearings.
- Advise on absence management, redeployment, retirement, or termination of employment, ensuring compliance with legislation and trust policies.
- Manage ER case spreadsheets, ensuring accurate and timely reflection of casework for monthly board returns.
- Analyse management information to support proactive performance management and workforce planning.
- Develop good relationships with trade union officers and staff side representatives, promoting a constructive working culture.
- Advise on HR policies, legal requirements, and best practice, ensuring HR implications are communicated effectively.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- CIPD Graduate or equivalent, with a postgraduate qualification in Human Resources being desirable.
- Experience in providing ER advice and support on a full range of HR issues.
- Proficiency in drafting or updating HR policies and procedures.
- Experience with ESR and Microsoft Office software.
- Project management experience and the ability to run training sessions.
- Advanced communication skills, negotiation skills, and decision-making ability.
- Ability to work confidentially, plan and organise work efficiently, and deliver a customer-focused service.
