Enterprise Architect

A global insurance provider is seeking an Enterprise Architect to play a critical role in aligning the technical architecture and business processes of merging or acquired organizations with the core organization. This role requires a strategic thinker who can assess, plan, and collaborate on the integration of diverse technology environments to ensure seamless business operations and maximize value from M&A activities.

This is a fully remote/work from home role paying up to £115,000 per annum plus benefits.

Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop IT strategies that align with business objectives and M&A goals.
  • Translate business processes into scalable and sustainable technology architecture, both current and future state.
  • Create integration roadmaps and transition plans for core and acquired entities.
  • Design enterprise standards for core and acquired organizations, including systems, data, application and network layers.
  • Design and document enterprise architecture frameworks and solutions that facilitate the integration of acquired companies.
  • Develop comprehensive blueprints that address application, data, and technology integration.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to M&A and enterprise architecture.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence on the IT assets, applications, infrastructure, and processes of target companies.
  • Identify potential risks, synergies, and integration challenges.
  • Collaborate with System Architect and Infrastructure teams on integration projects.

Knowledge and Experience:

Required

  • 10+ years of experience in IT architecture, with at least 5 years in a senior role focusing on mergers and acquisitions.
  • Experience with business processes – quote to cash, project services workflow systems.
  • Certified with TOGAF and knowledge applied in real-world scenarios.
  • Experience with a multitude of technology platforms, both legacy and modern.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading large-scale IT integration projects.
  • Experience with cloud computing, data management, networks, enterprise applications, and interoperability of each.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of insurance business processes and enterprise-grade technologies that support those processes.
  • Experience with SAP Cloud systems and architecture.
  • Experience with MS Azure platform, particularly Azure well-architected framework.
  • Experience with distributed teams
  • Experience with 3 rd party development teams
