Job Description:

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be working closely with the SENCO and classroom teachers to provide tailored support to students with special educational needs. This includes assisting with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs), facilitating small group activities, and providing one-on-one support to students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the educational and social development of students under the direction and guidance of the SENCO and class teachers.
  • Support students with emotional or behavioural problems and help develop their social skills.
  • Prepare and present engaging learning activities.
  • Regularly provide feedback to teachers on students' progress.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • NVQ Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent.
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience and resilience with a positive attitude.
