About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Legal Secretary to support our client's busy Family Law and Litigation departments. You'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of legal processes, providing high-quality administrative and secretarial support to our solicitors and clients. This role is suitable for any experienced traditional Legal Secretaries. It would not be suitable for candidates wishing to eventually become a solicitor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing and formatting legal documents and correspondence
  • Managing diaries, scheduling appointments, and coordinating meetings
  • Handling confidential client information with discretion
  • Liaising with clients, courts, and third parties
  • Filing court documents and managing case files
  • Supporting fee earners with billing and time recording

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Legal Secretary, ideally within Family Law and/or Litigation
  • Excellent typing and IT skills (MS Office, case management systems)
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A professional, empathetic, and client-focused approach
