Teaching Assistant (TA)
- Hourly Rate: £13.43
- Location: North Lancaster
- Job Type: Temporary Contract (2 weeks from 13th September – 27th September)
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:45 am – 3:15 pm
We are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive team for a two-week period. This is an immediate start position that offers a great opportunity to work in an educational setting and contribute positively to the learning environment.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Assist in the preparation and delivery of learning activities and support the teacher in managing the classroom.
- Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning material initially introduced by the teacher.
- Provide support to students with special needs to help them achieve their educational goals.
- Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to the teacher.
- Help maintain a safe and organised classroom environment for all students.
- Participate in school events and activities as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar educational support role is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with children and be sensitive to their educational and emotional needs.
- Proactive and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work with different age groups and learning abilities.
- Medical requirements for the role will be discussed upon application.
