Role Overview: Field Care Supervisor - Learning Difficulties Focus

As a Field Care Supervisor with Home Support Matters, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting our care/support workers and ensuring person-centred, high-quality support is provided to individuals with learning difficulties. You'll act as the crucial link between our customers, families, care teams, and other professionals.

Hours:

  • 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm
  • Participation in an on-call rota (including every other weekend) with enhanced pay of £15.97/hour
  • Flexibility to work outside of core hours to meet service needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out detailed assessments and develop individualised support plans tailored to people with learning difficulties
  • Ensure robust medication management and care planning documentation
  • Perform regular audits to maintain high compliance and care standards
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including social workers, nurses, and families
  • Offer day-to-day guidance, coaching, and practical support to care/support workers in the field
  • Promote independence, choice, and inclusion in all aspects of support
  • Uphold safeguarding practices and respond effectively to any incidents or concerns

You will be actively working across areas including Norwich, Beccles, Lowestoft, and Great Yarmouth, with a base at our Beccles head office. Mileage is reimbursed at 42p per mile.

  • Significant experience supporting individuals with learning difficulties
  • A genuine passion for improving lives and empowering people
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and digital care systems
  • A full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or a willingness to work towards it)
  • Team leadership or supervisory experience (desirable but not essential)
