My client is an independent established install specialist, providing stage lighting and sound systems in schools, universities, places of worship and community buildings. The role is ideal for someone with events experience. The owner brings his dog to the office, so being comfortable being around dogs is essential.

Recruiting an office manager to manage all aspects of the company on a day to day basis. The successful candidate will report to, and works closely with the founder/ owner, and you will often be in the office by yourself.

Role responsibilities include:

Answering email and phone enquiries from schools, taking messages, passing on enquiries, assisting when able. Liaising with suppliers, producing quotes when able, assign purchase orders and log against each project

Create risk and method statements for installations

Co ordinate full time staff, engineers, subcontractors and freelance according to requirements

Dealing with post and accepting deliveries from couriers

Manage all aspects of Compliance across the company, including GDPR and DBS

Ensure Vans have MOT, tax and repairs as required. Obtain Insurance and leasing quotes for company vans and owners car

Produce project information packs so staff and subcontractors have all the information required

Share responsibility for keeping the office, kitchenette , toilet, staircase and warehouse areas clean and tidy.

Chase customers for payments if required, via email initially

Assist owner with recording of expenses

Keep Operations manuals up to date

Create and maintain register of school folders with all information accurately recorded
