this role provides a fantastic opportunity to drive growth within

, working with both new and established clients across diverse industries. With access to a variety of public and private sector enterprises, you'll develop and expand relationships while identifying and capitalizing on fresh opportunities. IT Services is a key driver of our client's global growth, especially in the UK, and you'll have the full support of their technical teams to deliver innovative solutions.
- Current team size: 5 people growing to 20 over next couple of years, career growth opportunity as team expands
- 80% new BD (only 20% Account management) so MUST be a proven hunter
- Annual target is £7m, bonus is 1%, i.e. £70k
- 0-3 months onboarding and training
- 3 stages interview: 1. Sales Director 2. Managing Director and final is a presentation
- Key role requirement: _ability to sell IT project teams into clients_to support delivery of projects, this could be a whole scrum team including developers or a few project managers etc
What you will be doing:
- Driving Sales: Win IT services contracts ranging from £1m to £10m and ensure consistent success in meeting/exceeding sales targets.
- Leadership: Motivate and manage large, complex teams, even under high-pressure environments, ensuring success in every project.
- Client Engagement: Understand client needs, adapt quickly, and create innovative, win-win solutions. Build trust and confidence with senior management and stakeholders.
- Managing Opportunities: Take full responsibility for sales and opportunity pursuits from initiation to close, while negotiating and delivering results.
- Presentations and Negotiations: Lead impactful presentations to senior-level stakeholders and negotiate contracts that meet business goals.
Requirements:
- Either Public or Private Sector IT Services Sales background, OR a senior IT Recruitment BD background. Purely h_ardware/software sales_ experience will NOT be suitable for these positions
- Experience required: working for companies like _Capgemini; Tata Consultancy Services (TCS); Accenture; Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE); DXC Technology; T-Systems; Cognizant; Dell Technologies_etc
- Sales Focus : Proven success in winning professional services opportunities (£1m to £10m individual contract value) and delivering on sales targets.
- Leadership : Experience of managing large and complex teams, motivating them to achieve successful outcomes, and adapting to stakeholder needs.
- Entrepreneurial Mindset : Ability to manage multiple aspects of opportunities simultaneously, adapting to client changes while identifying new business prospects.
- Commercial Awareness : Experience working in multinational environment, focusing on delivering positive business outcomes that meet client requirements. Understands both Public Sector and broader sectors (e.g., manufacturing, FSNI).
- Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written English, _able to communicate at all levels and lead presentations_to senior management.
- Accountability: Proven track record in _managing full sales cycles_and closing new business deals under pressure.
- Desirable criteria: Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent work experience) preferred.
