- Maintaining and troubleshooting mechanical aspects of high-speed manufacturing machinery
- Regularly inspecting machinery and performing preventative maintenance tasks
- Responding to breakdowns and restoring equipment to working order promptly
- Collaborating with the engineering team to optimise machinery performance
- Adhering to all health and safety regulations within the manufacturing environment
- Documenting all maintenance work and machinery malfunctions
- Working with cross-functional teams to support manufacturing processes
- Continually learning about new machinery and techniques to improve job performance
Profile
A successful Mechanically Bias Shift Engineer should have:
- An NVQ level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
- Strong knowledge of industrial manufacturing processes
- Solid understanding of mechanical components of high-speed machinery
- Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively within a team
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of health and safety
