You will be based in Worthing, working 37 hours a week. This position is a Hybrid working role with 2 or 3 days a week in the office.

The Virtual School Personal Education Plan (PEP) co-ordinator will undertake a number of vital tasks to ensure that the Virtual School team can fulfil their roles under the statutory duty requirements.

We are looking for someone who is self-starter and able to learn the systems they have in place. You will need to be personable, with really strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to persuade and influence others. As you become more adept at using the system there will be an expectation that can support others to complete the tasks.

Key Skills needed:

  • Ability to organise/prioritise work, co-ordinate a variety of tasks in a clear and logical way and meet agreed deadlines which minimise the disruption to the business.
  • Ability to present information presented clearly, concisely, accurately and in ways that promote understanding, either verbally or in written/electronic format.
  • Excellent literacy and numeracy skills to analyse and interpret complex written material and to respond to complex correspondence.
  • Sound technical knowledge in relevant discipline to a level suitable to provide advice and support to other team members.

Qualifications and/or experience:

  • NVQ Level 3 in a relevant subject or equivalent qualification or experience, demonstrating the same level of applied knowledge in researching, analysing and evaluating arguments and information.
  • Experience of working within or alongside colleagues in education or children's social care.
  • Valid driving license and a willingness to drive between West Sussex centres.
