Parts Sales Executive – Basingstoke - £32K + Bonus

Job Purpose:

As a Parts Specialist you are responsible for acquiring new customers, increasing revenue per customer, and developing new sales territories to maximise the parts market potential. To do this, you analyse the market in terms of competition and customers in order to identify competitive advantage. You develop appropriate marketing strategies in order to use them in a sustainable and economically sensible way for the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve personal target KPIs and revenue objectives within the designated customer sets.
  • Identify and recommend parts to meet customer sales requirements accurately.
  • Utilise product promotions effectively to achieve specific targets.
  • Identify and capitalise on upsell opportunities to contribute to overall sales growth.
  • Stay updated on new or updated parts through training courses and regular information updates.

Experience

  • Experience in selling multi franchise Parts as well as customer support
  • Experience in market development as well as in the application of targeted sales support.
  • Commercial vehicle experience an advantage

PARTS DEVELOPMENT REPRESENTATIVE

To develop both new and existing Parts Accounts business to enable parts sales targets to be achieved within the Parts Division.

To ensure that all company policies and procedures applicable to their area of responsibility are adhered to at all times

  • Develop the parts sales business within the market area, identifying new business opportunities and promoting the company's products and services in respect of all after sales opportunities.
  • Working directly with the Regional Parts Development Manager but also closely with all Parts Managers at all Branches to establish a regular visit programme to all existing account holders in order to maximise sales, producing daily call sheets in respect of all calls made.
  • Working in conjunction with the Mercedes Benz Area Management team to fulfil the expectation of a franchised Dealership
  • Analysis on Market Area Postcodes to increase market penetration
  • Achieve parts sales targets, working closely with the marketing department to promote any special promotions or sales incentives as required, recommending special incentives or promotions in respect of customer accounts in order to maximise sales or address shortfalls against sales targets.
  • Obtain necessary customer details in order for credit references to be taken up and new accounts to be opened resolving any queries with customers as required
  • Ensure that the image and levels of customer service is in line with both company and franchiser standards
  • Ensure that all customer complaints are dealt with both speedily and effectively, referring any unresolved problems to the Parts Managers at relevant sites
  • Ensure that within their area of operation all Company and Trade Associations policies, procedures and minimum standards are met and that all statutory requirements including trading standards, fire, health and safety are adhered to

Handle all internal and external customers and suppliers with courtesy and ensure the Mercedes-Benz experience is delivered to all contacts at all times

Salary £32K + Bonus Annum, 45 hours Monday - Friday
