Manchester (with hybrid working, ideally two days per week at our client's centre in Manchester)

Our client is a charity supporting the needs of people who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans.

They are now looking for a People (HR) Advisor to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis, working 37 hours per week.

The Role

As a People (HR) Advisor, you will provide advice, guidance and clarity across the organisation on various HR matters and processes alongside the Team People.

Our client's Team People encompasses organisational development, volunteer programmes and centre operations with an overall remit to ensure they have the best working environment and processes in place.

You'll support the implementation of the People Strategy, developing skills across the workforce through training, talent retention and effective recruitment, and creating ways to maintain morale and wellbeing.

Ensuring all HR and operational policies and procedures are implemented, you'll support colleagues and provide advice to the Senior Leadership Team, drafting policies, delivering training and updating guidance.

Additionally, you will:

- Support the management of attendance, performance, misconduct and employee dispute resolution
- Support the creation of employment-related documentation
- Ensure that organisational training and development goals are achieved
- Oversee and support the implementation of recruitment processes
- Assist in the delivery of monthly payroll processes, including changes, new starters and leavers

About You

To be considered as a People (HR) Advisor, you will need:

- Experience of day-to-day operational HR support
- Experience of implementing organisational people strategies
- Experience of providing effective line management and/or general HR support to staff
- Experience of supporting employee resilience and/or develop organisational cultures that enable resilience
- An understanding of Employee Relations, Employment Laws and Health & Safety Regulations
- Knowledge of standard HR policies and procedures, such as disciplinary, capability, health & safety, and code of conduct, gained either through comprehensive work experience or a CIPD qualification (level 5 or above)
- An understanding of using transactional HR processes / software
