**Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Production Operative to join our team in Hackney. This role involves working within a busy kitchen area, supporting the production team in preparing food products to the highest standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in a kitchen environment and hold a valid Food Safety Certificate (Level 1 or Level 2).
**Key Responsibilities:
- Food Preparation: Assist with the preparation of ingredients and products in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all food products meet company standards for quality and presentation.
- Hygiene Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen area, adhering to food safety guidelines.
- Stock Management: Assist with the receipt and storage of ingredients, ensuring proper rotation and minimizing waste.
- Equipment Handling: Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, reporting any issues to the supervisor.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth operation and timely completion of tasks.
- Compliance: Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including health and safety and food safety regulations.
**Requirements:
- Food Safety Certificate: Level 1 or Level 2 is mandatory.
- Experience: Previous experience working in a kitchen or food production environment is essential.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to follow instructions accurately and maintain high standards of quality.
- Physical Fitness: Must be able to stand for long periods and perform manual tasks.
