Job Title: Senior Product Designer

Location: Remote

Remuneration: Competitive daily rate from £600 to £700

Contract Details: Fixed Term Contract, 3 months

Responsibilities:

  • Design and prototype world-class products and features to enhance our client's connected experiences for the Net Zero line of business and customers.
  • Conduct explorative research, usability testing, and data analysis to understand customer needs and make informed design decisions.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Tech, and Content teams to deliver high-quality designs and user experiences.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of our client's design system.
  • Act as the voice of the customer while balancing commercial objectives.
  • Utilise design and prototyping software (e.g., Figma) and have experience with animation.
  • Push our client's brand forward as a digital-first creative thinker.
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of app design, accessibility, and work closely with developers.

Our client, a leading smart heating brand in the UK, is playing a crucial role in helping customers reduce their carbon emissions and save money, contributing to the challenge of Net Zero. With over 50% market share in the UK for smart thermostats, they manage a range of solutions including EV, Solar and Battery, and Air Source Heat Pumps. As a Senior Product Designer, you will join their Hive web team and focus on creating exceptional eCommerce experiences that prioritise customer needs and help them find the right products for their home and situation. You will collaborate with a team of app and web designers, service designers, and UX researchers in delivering memorable and positive experiences for customers.

What we are looking for:

  • A product designer with strong experience, showcasing a strong portfolio of extraordinary work.
  • A natural curiosity and a research-driven approach to problem-solving, using both quantitative and qualitative data.
  • A team player who enjoys collaborating with other designers, product owners, and tech teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build relationships.
  • Proficiency in design and prototyping software, especially Figma.
  • Experience with animation to bring designs to life.
  • A creative thinker who can drive our client's brand forward in the digital space.
  • A good understanding of app design and accessibility.
  • A good understanding of wed design and animations.
  • Enthusiasm for working closely with developers to support efficient ways of working.
