Maths Teacher

  • Salary: Pro Rata £12,206.96 - £20,525.61(FTE £25,809 - £43,397)
  • Location: Wythenshawe or Openshaw
  • Job Type: Part time(17.5hrs)

Day to Day of the role:

  • Instructional Delivery: The role involves delivering top-tier education to students. This includes creating unique learning materials and lesson plans that meet the varied learning needs of students. Utilising technology to enrich the learning environment is a key aspect of this duty.
  • Learner Evaluation: The educator is tasked with creating comprehensive and fair assessments to measure student comprehension and growth. This involves promptly grading assignments and providing feedback that aids in student improvement.
  • Collaboration & Engagement: This duty calls for the educator to work in tandem with other teachers and support staff to safeguard student welfare. Regular interaction with students to ensure they are on the path to achieving their educational goals and providing necessary support is part of this responsibility.
  • Organisational Tasks: Beyond teaching, the educator is expected to perform various administrative duties. These include keeping precise records of student progress, participating in quality assurance processes to uphold educational standards, and taking part in promotional activities to boost the visibility of the FE Department at The Manchester College.

Requirements:

  • A recognised teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience in teaching students with special educational needs and disabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • A track record of inspiring and motivating students with diverse learning needs.
  • A commitment to personal and professional development, with a willingness to engage in further training.
