Hours: Part-Time (9:00 AM - 12:00 PM, Monday to Friday)

About Us
Our client is a thriving fashion business based in Marlow, offering stylish and unique clothing to a growing and loyal customer base. We're looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage our financial transactions using Xero. This is a part-time role, perfect for someone seeking flexible working hours. Although you will be paid by the hour this isn't a temp role and the business is looking for a medium to long term committment. This role is office based and would suit someone very local to Marlow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily bookkeeping tasks using Xero accounting software.
  • Process and record all financial transactions, including sales, purchases, payments, and receipts.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements.
  • Prepare VAT returns and ensure timely submission.
  • Generate financial reports such as profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
  • Monitor cash flow and report any discrepancies or issues to management.
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
  • Liaise with suppliers and customers regarding invoices and payments.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, possibly within a retail environment although not essential.
  • Proficiency in Xero accounting software is essential.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
  • Strong communication skills for liaising with suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
  • A flexible and proactive approach to work.
