Job Title: Part-Time Bookkeeper/Office Manager

Our client is a thriving fashion business based in Marlow, offering stylish and unique clothing to a growing and loyal customer base. We're looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage our financial transactions using Xero. This is a part-time role, perfect for someone seeking flexible working hours. Although you will be paid by the hour this isn't a temp role and the business is looking for a medium to long term committment. This role is office based and would suit someone very local to Marlow.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping tasks using Xero accounting software.
- Process and record all financial transactions, including sales, purchases, payments, and receipts.
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements.
- Prepare VAT returns and ensure timely submission.
- Generate financial reports such as profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Monitor cash flow and report any discrepancies or issues to management.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
- Liaise with suppliers and customers regarding invoices and payments.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, possibly within a retail environment although not essential.
- Proficiency in Xero accounting software is essential.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
- Strong communication skills for liaising with suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
- A flexible and proactive approach to work.
