Tradewind Recruitment are delighted to be recruiting a Teacher of English position in Barking & Dagenham, with the successful applicant to join a supportive and successful school in September 2024. The School are returning to the academic year following an exceptional set of results A-Level with GCSE results expected to follow suit, and are enthusiastic to build on this in the coming months. The successful English department are seeking a dynamic and passionate Teacher of English to join their department for 2024/25 academic year. This appointment is initially temporarily, but could be made permanent if the move suits all concerned.

The role

  • Teaching classes between Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Key Stage 5 is desirable but not essential.
  • Teaching both English Literature and Language.
  • Joining a successful and supportive English department, with a welcoming and experienced Head of Department.
  • Department is well resourced.
  • 3 subject leads and 8 teachers within the department.
  • Pay is in line with Inner London Teacher's Pay Scale* updated Sept 2023
  • Working hours: 8.30-4pm
  • Role commencing Sept' 2024
  • Full-Time, 5 days per week
