We are currently partnering with a steel manufacturer in the Black Country, who are recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to join their growing team on a permanent basis.
This is a full-time position with a salary of c**. £30,000** (subject to experience) and the start date is subject to notice. The hybrid working policy is 2 days WFH after completion of the training period.
Our client is looking for someone who is keen to progress with a career within Finance, and they offer fully study support.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Producing and posting month end journals including accruals, pre-payments, reconciling balance sheets
- Completing VAT returns, tax packs and dealing with expenses
- Assisting with ad hoc projects for PSA and month end analysis
- Dealing with pensions, audit closes and ONS questionnaires
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
- Exposure to Financial or Management Accounts
- Ability to produce VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables
