Our client is looking to recruit a Stores/Warehouse person on an initial 3-month contract to support the day-to-day operations at their site near Eastleigh. This role is essential for maintaining the efficiency and organisation of the warehouse.
Role Overview:
The Stores/Warehouse person will be responsible for unloading and loading wagons of materials and scrap, managing stock movements using SAP, and loading Kanban areas with materials. The role requires experience in a busy engineering stores/warehouse environment, PC literacy, and a valid Counter Balance forklift license.
Key Responsibilities:

Material Handling:

Unload and load wagons of materials and scrap.

Ensure materials are accurately accounted for and properly stored.

Stock Management:

Use SAP to account for stock movements.

Load all Kanban areas with materials as required.

Warehouse Maintenance:

Maintain a clean and organised warehouse.

Ensure materials are stored safely and efficiently.
Skills & Competencies:
- Previous experience in a busy engineering stores/warehouse environment.
- PC literate with working knowledge of SAP and Kanban systems.
- Strong accuracy, numeracy, integrity, and self-motivation.
- Valid Counter Balance forklift license (refreshed within the past 3 years).
Working Hours:
- 39 hours per week.
- Earliest start time is 8:00 am and latest finish time is 6:00 pm (Monday to Friday).
Pay:
- £13.50 - £14.50 per hour, depending on suitability.
Contract Details:
- Initial 3-month contract with the likelihood of extension based on performance and business needs.
