Media Account Executive

As a Media Account Executive, you will be a key member of the Client Services team, supporting the Account Director and Account Manager. Collaborating with other Account Executives and Account Managers, you will help plan and execute comprehensive media strategies, with a focus on digital platforms like Facebook, Digital Display (Programmatic), PPC, and property portals.

This role involves significant client interaction, understanding and communicating their needs to suppliers and internal teams. Building strong client relationships and providing insightful campaign reports and recommendations are essential. Efficient workload management and high standards of client service are crucial.

Hybrid working is available - 3 days in the office and 2 days at home after initial training period.

Duties & Responsibilities of the Media Account Executive:

  • Learn and master the key activities undertaken for clients, aiming to become competent in these tasks after the formal training period.
  • Use the booking system to make, amend, and cancel bookings for all client activities.
  • Communicate clients' needs to suppliers by providing clear briefs and setting performance expectations.
  • Raise purchase orders for media owners, ensuring detailed and comprehensive booking emails are sent.
  • Amend media bookings and schedules as directed by Account Managers or clients.
  • Raise and format schedules to be clear and client-friendly, sending out schedules weekly on Fridays before 3 pm and within 24 hours of any new bookings.
  • Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely and efficient completion of work, maximising profitability for the company.
  • Respond to all client emails within two hours, or as soon as possible if out of office.
  • Build effective relationships with clients in collaboration with Account Managers.
  • Regularly report on campaign success without client prompts, providing analysis and recommendations for future activities.
  • Create contact reports with clear actions and responsibilities following client calls, sharing them the same day.
  • Use Synergist to manage all jobs, ensuring the system is always up to date.
  • Gather data, research, and intelligence for client documents, researching media placements and presenting findings clearly and in line with client expectations and agency SLA.
  • Manage your time effectively to learn on the job and gain additional accreditation from digital platforms as appropriate.
  • Update administration systems as required and promote good housekeeping including archiving old files and updating client details.

What you will need to succeed as Media Account Executive :

  • A Degree in Media, Marketing, Business, or another relevant degree/diploma is desirable but not essential
  • Previous experience in client management within a service-provision organisation.
  • Experience working within an agency environment is desirable.
  • Experience liaising with various stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams
  • Knowledge of digital marketing communications.
  • Knowledge of media bookings/schedules is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong writing, grammatical and proofing skills.
  • Skilled at prioritising and managing your own time across multiple clients in a fast-paced working environment.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • An understanding of GDPR and relevant legislation.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet client needs.
  • Highly ambitious and driven, with the initiative to achieve goals.
  • Commitment to working efficiently and accurately.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and maintain motivation when working alone.
  • Strong interest in the media industry.
  • Enthusiastic and eager to learn new skills.
  • Willingness to get involved and stay motivated within the team structure.

You will also be encouraged to pursue continuous professional development, including gaining additional digital platform accreditations and staying updated on the latest trends in media and digital marketing.
