Job Purpose:

As a Coordinator at Steps to Work, you will play a vital role in supporting Skills Trainers and Employment Advisors. Your responsibilities will include managing paperwork and data entry, referring participants for childcare and benefits, and fostering strong relationships with participants and employers. Additionally, you'll oversee finance and service quality, attend training sessions and meetings, adhere to company policies and safeguarding legislation, promote our activities, and continuously strive for performance improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to Skills Trainers and Employment Advisors, maintaining contact and relationships with participants and employers.
  • Ensure paperwork and data entry meet quality and contractual requirements, including post-employment tracking.
  • Signpost training opportunities and assist in creating relationships with local businesses and organisations to secure job placements.
  • Conduct initial meetings with participants, maintain records, and manage daily and weekly interventions to ensure session effectiveness and attendance rates.
  • Assist in finance management, reconcile participant spend logs, and update the management information system.
  • Participate in training, audits, and meetings, adhering to quality standards, health and safety policies, and safeguarding legislation, while promoting continuous performance improvement and the company's activities.

Skills:

  • Proficient in using administrative systems and basic financial processes, with intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.
  • Experienced in liaising with external organisations, maintaining accurate filing systems, and inputting data into computerised systems.
  • Capable of working independently, handling participant queries, and ensuring files are audit-ready.
  • Strong team player with effective listening and verbal communication skills.
