Role: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer / Mechanical Fitter
Salary: £42,000 per annum + Enhanced overtime (paid at x1.5 & x2.0), Plus benefits
Hours: 4 on 4 off, 6 till 6 - rotation of 4 days, then 4 night shifts
Location: Commutable from Barton upon Humber, Scunthorpe, Hull, Goole, Immingham, Market Rasen, Grimsby and surrounding areas

This role will suit a Mechanical Fitter or Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with a background in an industrial or heavy manufacturing environment where they've gained mechanical knowledge & skills with bearings, shafts, belts, chains, motors, gears, pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding (MIG) etc.

Responsibilities

Your role will be to focus on preventative and reactive response to Mechanical Maintenance in the factory, including:

Supporting various heavy equipment and machinery across the factory, dealing with and overcoming problems in a fast paced environment.
Working through a planned preventative maintenance program as well as project and continuous improvement work.
Reactive maintenance, working at pace attending to and resolving breakdowns swiftly and getting production lines back up and running again.
Dealing with belts, bearings, motors, gears, pumps, chains, hydraulics, pneumatics etc.
Any workshop skills will come in handy, ideally welding in MIG.

Requirements

Completed a recognised Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship or hold Mechanical Engineering qualifications at Level 3 or above
Experience with mechanical maintenance or mechanical fitting work, within an industrial and/or manufacturing environment
Machinery maintenance experience
Any experience of belts, chains, bearings, pumps, motors, gears, hydraulics, pneumatics would be desirable
Any MIG welding experience would be desirable
Heavy plant/machinery experience would be great but not essential
Proactive work attitude and keen to get stuck in
Friendly and adaptable working attitude
