Description
- Oversee day-to-day transport operations, ensuring timely and efficient deliveries.
- Manage and coordinate a team of 18 drivers, ensuring adherence to schedules and compliance with all regulations.
- Monitor and optimise fleet performance, safety, and maintenance standards.
- Liaise with internal teams and clients to ensure smooth communication and customer satisfaction.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance operational efficiencies.
- Ensure full compliance with transport legislation, health and safety protocols, and company policies.
- Cover other members of the team during holidays/sickness etc.
Profile
- Proven experience in transport/logistics supervision or similar roles.
- Strong knowledge of UK transport regulations and compliance.
- Good geographical knowledge of the South East of the UK.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with an eye for detail.
- Proficiency in transport management systems and fleet tracking software.
