Group Tax Manager / Merseyside - hybrid working / Salary £70,000 -£75,000
We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Tax Manager to join our clients growing in-house Tax team. Our client is a large, profitable PE backed group, and due to continued growth, both organic and through acquisition, they are now looking for an experienced Tax manager to join their team.
Reporting into an impressive Group Head of Tax, Treasury, and Financial Compliance, you will support in managing the day-to-day including all aspects of tax and treasury work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare UK corporation tax returns.
- Prepare year-end tax accounting and disclosures for statutory accounts.
- Calculate UK corporation tax quarterly payments on account.
- Collate information for P11D, PSA, and ERS submissions.
- Review UK VAT returns.
- Conduct tax forecasting.
- Prepare and maintain tax processes and controls documentation.
- Forecast cash flow.
- Calculate banking covenants and prepare compliance documentation.
- Provide support and guidance where required for junior members of the Tax team.
- You will support the Group Head of Tax, advising on ad hoc tax queries for the UK and overseas business units, covering direct, indirect, and employment taxes.
- Assist with transfer pricing reviews and documentation.
- Participate in tax and treasury advisory projects.
- Contribute to tax governance matters.
Key skills:
- Previous experience working in Tax - (either In-house or within practice)
- Able to work independently and take ownership of workstreams in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive and self-motivated attitude.
- Keen interest in tax and treasury with a desire to learn and technically develop in the role.
- Commercial awareness
- Fully Qualified
